Hôm nay lục trong đống Melodic thấy có band này nếu bác nào post rồi thì cho xin phép bon chen tý nhé :D!
Kalmah là một band chơi Melodic death metal của Phần Lan, thành lập năm 1998, sau gần một năm thành lập Kalmah đã được Spinefarm Record ký hợp đồng tài trợ. Tên band có thể dịch ra là “Xuống mồ” hoặc “Tới cái chết”
Kalmah bắt đầu hoặt động vào năm 1991 khi Pekka Kokko và Petri Sankala sáng lập ra band có tên Ancestor. Sau khi Ancestor thu thử hai bản thì Antti Kokko vào với vị trí Guitar Lead. Năm 1998, sau năm bản thủ thử và với 5 người chơi bass, Ancestor chia rẽ và thành lập lại với tên Kalmah. Band mới bao gồm các thành viên Pekka Kokko (Vocals, Guitar), Antti Kokko (Lead Guitar), Pái Hiltula (Keyboards), Altti Vetelainen (Bass), và Petri Sankala (Drums) và tiếp tục chơi dòng nhạc Melodic death metal.
Kalmah bắt đầu viết những ca khúc cho CD khuếch trương có tên Svieri Obraza. Với CD này họ mang về được hợp đồng thu âm với Spinefarm Records, tới phòng thu Tico-Tico Studios và họ đã cho ra bản thu đầu tiên Swamplord (2000).
Vào tháng 11 năm 2001, quay lại phòng thu Tico-Tico và bắt đầu thu bản thu thứ hai They Will Return. Altti Vetelainen và Petri Sankala được thay thế bởi Timo Lehtinen (bass) và Janne Kusmin (Drums). Vào năm 2001, Kalmah chơi cho những show diễn ở Phần Lan: Wacken Open Air. Tháng 2 năm 2003 Kalmah tiến hành thu bản thu thứ 3 Swampsong. Năm 2004 keyboard Pasi Hiltula nghỉ và được thay vào là Marco Sneck. Năm này band ghi bản thu The Black Waltz và năm 2008 thu For the Revolution, sau đó tiến hành tour diễn ở Canada và Filand để quảng cáo cho những album sau đó.(Resource: Wikipedia.com)
